Collaborators

after recording at Funk Studios in North Salt Lake.

Many thanks to Alex Purser, my collaborator & baritone extraordinaire!  He went over my compositions with a fine-toothed comb and his judgment always improved the music.  I learned a lot from working with him, and completely trust his musical expertise.  His incredible talent is backed by some pretty impressive training.  He got his Master's degree from Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY, which is top tier in the music world-- up there with Julliard.  I've accompanied a lot of people in my life, and he is the best I've worked with.  I'm no vocal expert, but I swear he can make anything sound good.  It was hearing him sing "Stille Nacht" at church that gave me the push to pull my music out again after shelving it for 2 years.  I'm sure he was wary of some middle-aged woman asking him to sing & critique music for her.  Thankfully, he took a chance & risked his reputation by working with me because I am most definitely the least professional member of this team.

I'm still trying to forgive him for moving his cute little family to Texas just when we were getting started, but luckily COVID transformed the world so we can still collaborate virtually.

If anyone is looking to hire a baritone, read the Bio he sent me below with his contact info.  I think he could be tempted to come back to Utah for a performance if the stars aligned.

Also many thanks to Kasey Bradbury, soprano & favorite choir & Madrigals teacher at Viewmont High School, who jumped in last minute to sing for our recording of Starlight Vigil with less than a week's notice.  At our first practice together, it was as if she had been with us from the beginning.  She is also incredibly talented as well as so happy, positive, & encouraging.

Thank you both so much!  I couldn't have asked for a better team.
